Bolt-through Process for Commercial Use
|
|
For proper construction and the tension necessary for a fabric sling to look good on aluminum sling furniture, the seat
and back must be bolted to the frame.
Standard construction of residential quality sling furniture
uses a stainless steel bolt threaded into an aluminum nut hidden inside the frame. In commercial use the bolts may strip out of the nuts, causing the seat
and back to separate from the frame, requiring difficult and costly repairs.
To resolve this problem, our optional "bolt-through process," uses a ¼" stainless steel
carriage bolt inserted completely through the frame, with the head of the bolt
on the outside of the frame, and a stainless steel lock nut at the opposite end of the bolt.
